Midterm went all right! I'm pretty sure I passed, and that's good for now. School is going well (I'm a little worried about my GWS professor, because class is canceled tomorrow because of a "family emergency", but it'd be a lie if I said that I wasn't happy to have most of the day off) and I have money and a gift card to buy things! Yesss, score!
I'm planning on picking up The Orange Box tomorrow after Math discussion--saw it for sale in our Gamestop and uh dude I am so getting that shit. It'll do me good to play video games that aren't Wii Music again. I'm resigning myself to just borrowing NMH2 from Sarah, since she's probably almost done with it. And...uh...what else. Our apartment is totally How I Met Your Mother-related, according to both of my roomies. (I've only seen one episode, forgive me. I want to see more though.) Oh God where do I even start. Tonight was already amazing without it but it was just THE ICING ON THE CAKE.
But let's backpedal a bit!! I got to see old high school friends (still odd to say that) and we had homemade dinner, courtesy of Cierra. STILL FULL AT 2 AM. So delicious. And also Diana's mother made us apple pie. This meal was made perfect by us SHOUTING ACROSS THE TABLE and debating and being intellectuals fuck yeah for us! And Taboo and Apples to Apples once more--WHOSE TEAM WON? Yeah...the team that actually named itself "The Winners". Fuck yeaaaaah we don't even NEED to cheat because we're so in-sync like that.
AND NOW SHERLOCK. The suggestion to go see it was not serious but I'm glad it was taken as such. Thank you for that, Joe, and thank you for acknowledging how delicious RDJ is despite being straight and having a girlfriend. GAY EVERYWHERE. Second of all! New Years Eve is going to be busy, so I might as well do this now...

With all that said, I'm ready to set some New Years Resolutions!!
1. The obligatory one that everyone makes and never fulfills: LOSE WEIGHT. I'm moderately overweight! To reach a healthy, average weight I should lose 15-20 pounds. Realistically, I'm probably just going to try and stave off the dreaded Freshman 15 because oh boy am I going to be susceptible to THAT.
2. Actually read some REAL books this year!! I'm very guilty of reading piles and piles of comics and almost no books. I do want to read more comics too but YEAH MORE REAL BOOKS.
3. Participate in school activities! I had no school spirit in high school, so I'm going to make up for it by having TRIPLE school spirit in college.
4. Be active in the community! I enjoyed doing community service and I think I want to do it again.
5. Maybe act like a normal person and do some normal young person things! ...mmmmmaybe! Even my normal friends are weird, so this one's gonna be tough, hahaha. And I'm kind of not willing to do daring, dangerous things or to do traditional college-fun things. Crazy party, you mean where we all play board games and have too much soda?
6. MAKE NEW FRIENNNNDSSS. I love my old friends but I need some new ones too ;_;
7. Learn how to art. Um. Also a maybe. I want to paint or something!! I did that in art class and had fun!
Okay, uhhh...that's a good amount, I guess?! Happy new year, everyone! Let's make 2010 a good one!

My family Christmas party is tomorrow! Yay! Aaaand I haven't read all the Hellboy and BPRD I was supposed to return to my uncle haaa whoops. OHWELLI'LLGETTOIT. But aside from Christmasness, the internet has been pretty awesome to me lately. Real life is a little hectic (DAMN YOU LANDLADY AND PREVIOUS TENANT WHY ARE YOU MAKING GETTING THIS APARTMENT SO DIFFICULT) but it's gonna work it out soon, I hope, so all will be good once 2009 rolls to a close. 2010 IS GONNA BE AH-MAAAAZING. New games! New comics! Oh and that whole university thing too, huh. After Christmas I wanna post a big year-end introspective thing. Fun times. And I wanna get some presents already hnnngh. I might not be a kid anymore but DANG do I love me some presents. I hope I get some money

Christmas also looks to be awesome. My aforementioned cool uncle--the one who lent me all his Hellboy and Fables trades--is coming here from LA, and I need to read several volumes of Hellboy between now and the 25th so I can return them to him, hah. He also said that he had presents for me. PLURAL. I am so spoiled, heee. And, since it's Christmas, I get new clothes from everybody else, hooray! I usually never buy myself clothes--all my money is spent on silly things like comics and video games--so I actually look forward to getting clothes as presents. Plus, my cousins have a better fashion sense than I do, so I know that whatever I get will look good. Speaking of which, my cousins are coming over too, which is going to be LOADS of fun, no lie. I've always been really close to them all, so I'm looking forward to us goofing around and being dorks to each other this Christmas. :D I gotta ask my Nintendofag cousin to bring WarioWare: Smooth Moves again; when we all played on my sister's birthday it was ABSOLUTELY PRICELESS. We were all dying of laughter, it was so great.

Anyways, now that we're talking about music, I need to ask you all a favor! I have become painfully aware of how pitiful my iTunes library is. 1000 songs and only half of them are decent. I'm missing a LOT of things that I know should be on there (just two lonely Queen songs ;__;) and, well...
So please. Will you recommend music to me? I like most everything, as long as it's, well, good. Seriously. Everything from classical to Lady Gaga to Red Hot Chili Peppers to Dethklok. (Speaking of Dethklok, I know nothing's going to REALLY happen but I'm still terrified that someone's gonna bust my door down and throw me in a dungeon if I pirate the Dethalbum II.)
